The days and long evenings in the month of August are warm and languid in the summer sunshine. Beaches, sweeping sand dunes and coastal paths where the last of the sea thrift can be found swaying in the sea breeze. Long walks across the heaths and moors to find honeysuckle framed cottages with geraniums in terracotta pots and window boxes. While in towns and cities buddleia flowers release a gentle honey scent that draws the butterflies in.
