We believe in a responsible approach from inception to delivery, and take pride and pleasure in knowing our production methods are ethical and transparent.
Our fragrances have been expertly formulated in the British Isles by perfumers using carefully selected ingredients, alongside responsible working practices. Our suppliers have also been carefully chosen for their meaningful commitment to quality, honesty and sustainability.
Loriest & Co scented candle wax is a carefully formulated natural plant-based blend of soy, rapeseed, and coconut to ensure our candles are clean burning, soot free and sustainable. The provenance of our vegan candle wax is known and closely monitored.
Each scented candle contains a cotton wick and is hand poured in working premises in England that uses solar powered energy and is 70% self-sustaining. Loriest scented candles do not contain any animal ingredients, we do not use ingredients that are tested on animals and all our candles are 100% vegan.
Our candle vessels are made with recycled glass, and are fully recyclable.
Our gift notes and candle boxes are made with 100% recyclable card, which is one of the world’s most sustainable and renewable materials. We work with the World Land Trust to ensure we use Carbon Balanced Paper, in addition, our card is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that the paper is made with, or contains, pulp that comes from FSC well-managed forests, and follows a certified chain of custody that tracks the timber through every stage in the supply chain from the forest to your Loriest & Co candle box.
Our postal boxes, protective paper and tissue paper are all made with 100% recycled paper. While our boxes and protective packing paper is fully recyclable, our tissue paper and labels are compostable! We use plant-based tape and our packing peanuts are water soluble.
Our candles and packaging are free from plastic.
